Privacy Policy

A plain-language explanation of the information Mono Tools handles and why.

REFERENCE TRANSLATIONThis English version is provided for convenience only. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Japanese versions, the Japanese version will govern.

1. Our approach

Mono Tools does not collect user information beyond what is needed to provide the service. Free features generally require no account, and YouTube captions retrieved by the extension are processed on the user’s device.

2. Information we handle

Free features

The URL and title of the currently open YouTube page, and its caption data
Extension preferences, such as theme and output format

This information is processed on your device to provide the features and is not sent to or stored on external servers operated by Mono Tools. We also do not retain a history of entered URLs or transcript text.

Mono Pro (after launch)

The email address used to sign in and an internal user ID
Entitlement information, including plan, subscription status, and renewal date
Support requests and response history
The minimum technical information needed to investigate a problem

3. How we use information

To provide Mono Tools and Mono Pro features
To verify identity and manage sign-in state and entitlements
To handle payments, billing, cancellations, and refunds
To respond to inquiries, defects, and misuse
To comply with applicable laws and these terms

4. External services

After Mono Pro launches, we plan to use Supabase for authentication and subscription management, and Stripe for payments and billing. Payment information such as card numbers is handled by Stripe and is not retained by Mono Tools. Each provider’s privacy policy applies to its handling of information.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not provide personal information to third parties except when required by law, when the user has consented, or when the minimum necessary information is shared with a service provider needed to operate the service.

6. Retention and deletion

Account information, subscription information, and support records are retained only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, and resolve disputes. To request account deletion or the disclosure, correction, or suspension of use of your information, please contact us through the support page.

7. Chrome Web Store

We comply with the Chrome Web Store policies concerning user data and use collected information only to the extent needed for the single purpose of Mono Tools. We do not use it for advertising, credit assessment, or behavioral tracking.
